Evil Grasshopper
The lighting is not great in this one, but think it just adds something. Makes the grasshopper look 'evil' lol.

I must say, bugs have never really interested me before. Except maybe butterflies - coz they are pretty :) But recently I have actually begun looking for them!! And taking pictures of them! Since discovering the macro function on my camera, I have become quite fascinated in capturing all things tiny; ants, bees, wasps, spiders etc. It is amazing to see the details I had never noticed before! Bugs really are quite amazing little creatures. :)
Bee
This is a bee that I 'rescued' from my mum and dad's pool. While he took a few moments to dry off, I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures of him. Am quite happy with how this turned out :) Also thankful that bees aren't really as big as this one appears in the photo!

Well, time sure does fly! I have been finished work for a whole week already!! And I have been putting that time to good use :) I am currently visiting with my parents and have eagerly been exploring their garden - and have been delighted by my findings - flowers, bugs, lizards, frogs, parrots, owls etc. And of course I have had my camera in hand every step of the way - you just never know what you may see!!I have taken literally hundreds of photos in the past few days! In fact most of my photos in my blog so far have been snapped in my mum and dad's garden :) I wonder what treasures I will discover tomorrow....
Banksia
Whenever I see a Banksia seedpod, I can't help but think of May Gibbs' Banksia Men from the Snugglepot and Cuddlepie books :)
King Parrot
Mum and dad are lucky to have these beautiful birds come to visit their garden :) This cheeky guy however was helping himself to some cherry tomatoes!
Bearded Dragon
This guy was out sunning himself on a tree stump in my parents' yard. Don't think he liked having his picture taken tho. He puffed up and showed me his teeth before running away.
Raindrops
I captured this shot during an afternoon shower of rain. The raindrops are falling on my parents' swimming pool.
